It was only the day after sectionals, but William Shuester knew a meeting of the Glee Club was in order. Vocal Adrenalin was surely hard at work, and they needed to keep up with the competition. After all, if what they had seen just months before was any indication, they were the group to beat. As he strode down the halls of McKinley High towards the practice room, he thought to himself how proud he was of his kids for beating the competition while totally disoriented. It had truly been amazing. And, even though he had only been there through Emma's phone, he had felt like he was in the room himself. They had so much energy when they worked together...
He reached the room, and upon discovering he was the first one there, he took a seat at the piano, running his hands over the keys while thinking of something to play. He wasn't the most skilled pianist, but he had learned how to play as a kid. Back in the old days, when things were simpler. Was it just him, or were teenagers' lives getting much more complicated with this generation? Maybe it had always been that way. Still, everything seemed complicated these days. His personal life, for one, was pretty insane. But he shouldn't think of his own problems when he was about to lead the group. They had enough problems of their own, without dealing with a morose teacher.
Will turned his mind back to the piano, and decided on a Beatles song. They had always been one of his favorite bands, and he had been planning to have the kids pick one of their songs to sing on this particular day. The way they sang John Lennon's 'Imagine' had been amazing, and maybe they could recreate that with another song. At the moment, he was playing All You Need Is Love. A few members of their little band played along as he waited for the students to file in, a smile on his face. It was impossible not to smile while listening to the Beatles.

Puck was the first to arrive from the group of the Glee kids when it came time for all of them to poor in. He didn't want to be the first one, but he didn't want to be the last one either. As excited as they all were after winning at sectionals and then preforming the song "My Life Would Suck Without You" to Mr. Shue afterwords brought a lot of great and happy emotions from them, he knew that his presence currently seemed to suck that emotion out of people and in return he got mostly sour and angry looks from people as if he screwed everything up and destroyed the world around them. As much as he wanted to tell the majority of them to stick it where it belongs he couldn't because he knew it was true as well. After the performance Mr. Shue had told them each to bring a piece of work to preform the next day for rehearsal for the rest of them to hear.
That night he spent the majority of it sulking to himself while figuring out what he wanted to sing. There were a lot of songs he would have loved to do that he felt truly described his life. I'm So sexy, All Star, It's Good To Be King, You Shook Me All Night Long, but whenever he tried to practice any of those songs it seemed he lacked the total energy to preform them and without the energy came no passion. With no passion he knew he would look bad and he looked bad enough already so he knew he had to look a new direction that night for a song. Doing some online soul searching he found one song that seemed to online his feelings perfectly, spending the night mastering that song instead.
As he saw he was the first one while entering in with his guitar, he regretted coming so early because he knew everybody was going to enter in, give him that awkward mad stare and then go off and pretend nothing was wrong, so long as they knew they were mad at him, even if they had nothing to do with the situation. When he got in though he saw Mr. Shue preforming with the band a song he recognized and smiled. Putting the guitar strap around his neck and shoulder he started to play along. He did the figure picking that Paul McCartney did with the original version of the song when first preformed that went along with the background. Most were unaware of the constant finger picking in the song because it was not the main part but gave it a smooth background noise. When he started to play and go with the music he got so into it he was no longer nervous about being the first one and had completely forgotten about his situation.
When the chorus came up he knew Mr. Shue was playing the piano part to the vocals but sang along anyway just like the background performers will. He wasn't loud so it didn't overpower anything. "All you need is love... all you need is love.. love is all you need."

Artie rolled his way through the halls of McKinley, clearing a way through the crowd as he always did. That was one of the benefits to having the chair, people would know to make a hole but if there was no room Artie had a lot of practice weaving in and out through the traffic. His whole day had been leading up to this. He was sure it was true for the others as well, even if the rest of your day sucked glee was something to look forward to. Eleven friends there to cheer you up. Though these days there was a lot more drama within the group. With the whole baby fiasco, everyone seemed to be on edge.
When Artie had first found out it was kind of hard to believe. He had once thought Puck was a jerk, but since the whole bake sale he had new found respect for the other member. He hadn’t gotten a chance to taste one of those cupcakes himself, but they must have been good if they managed to raise so much. And it wasn’t totally Puck’s fault, because Quinn was there too right? She could have said no, Miss head of the celibacy club. Yeah sure Puck could have intoxicated her, but she could have said no to that too. It was just bad choices all around. Quinn was his friend too, though, since the ballads. Singing emotions to someone really brought out a connection.
As Artie got closer to the music room he could hear the band already there, and it sounded like Puck was too. He heard their song and had the urge to get in there and pick up the base to play along. After all who didn’t like the Beatles? One of his top picks was ‘with a little help from my friends’ because it reminded him of Glee. There were times when they DID have to life his chair to get him places, which is why it was good they got football guys on the team now. Kurt might break a nail or something. Wheeling in he saw Mr Shue, Quinn and Puck were already there, and he also noticed Puck and Quinn were still avoiding each other. This might be a long rehearsal. He rolled over to where the base was and picked it up, moving a bit closer to Puck to show that he didn’t blame him totally. He could hang with Puck until Tina or someone came, even though he still remembered being trapped in a portable toilet. [/size]

Finn had been avoiding Glee. He was sure it was pretty obvious. However, after talking to Kurt over things, he knew that he had to take a step forward. Finn couldn't live the rest of his life sneaking around the halls of school, not going to class and avoiding the people who were his friends. That morning, when he woke up, he knew that he was going to have to go today. Part of him was praying that Puck and Quinn wouldn't be there, he wasn't sure he was ready to see them again. He had passed over into a sad state. He honestly looked pathetic. He wasn't sure how much he was eating on a daily basis, and he barely managed to get dressed in the morning. Kurt had slapped some sense into him though, and told him to stop acting like a child and get his life together. And that's exactly what he was going to do.
That morning, he actually got dressed and ate something for breakfast. It was turning out to be a better day than he imagined. People were obviously getting sick of the drama that was going on, and had moved onto bigger and better things. Not too many people gave him pitying looks as he went through the hallways, and he attended all of his classes. And finally, it was the moment of truth and he made his way to the Glee Room. He took a deep breath as he walked, wishing Kurt was around to give him some encouragement. The best thing to happen would to have all people he trusted and wanted to be in the room there. The worst would definitely be that just Quinn and Puck. Either way, he figured Mr. Schue would be there at least, providing some form of support. Finn knew he was beyond the super angry stage. He wasn't going to flip out and punch the wall or anything like that.
He heard the music playing, the Beatles. Smiling a bit, he didn't hear any voices over powering anyone else. It was all nestled into a good harmony. Walking in, he paused, almost ready to turn around. He was sure he had the typical dear in headlights look going for him. He saw Puck and Quinn both there, the only other people being Mr. Schue and Artie. Unsure of where to go, he stood frozen for a second. He was ready to turn around, but Kurt's words kept echoing in his mind. Not looking at any of them, he moved towards where Mr. Schue was playing on the piano, taking his place among them, he joined in, singing softly, almost sadly.

Today was the day he could feel it. Glee was going to be rocky, but in the end everything was going to be okay, he could just tell. So Kurt woke up that day with a smile on his face, drove to school with Mercedes and just had a good day and from what he had seen from Finn he had been in a good mood also. Kurt grinned knowing that he helped get Finn out of that shell and back into the real world.
Though the real world really wasn't all that better. Quinn was still a mess and seemed liked she needed some advice from Dr Kurt. Though the two weren't close the only time they talked outside of glee was when they were planning on destroying Rachel. They never talked after that and to be honest Kurt was jealous of Quinn. Even though he knew Finn wasn't a fan of her Kurt knew he still loved her and Kurt wished he got the love Quinn gets. That bitchh didn't deserve his love, she hurt him and lied about something he truly cared about.
Kurt shook off his anger towards the girl and kept walking towards the glee room. Oh how he loved that place. How he loved the acceptingness of it and how he could just about do anything in there and everyone would still love him for him or well except for a few people who didn't even like him in the first place, like Santana. As he walked closer he heard the soft sound of the beatles playing. All You Need Is Love. He smiled as he walked in. His eyes landed on Finn, he looked happy. Then he looked at Quinn and Puck two were opposite of each other. Then there was Artie just trying to find something to do and not make more drama then there already was. He smiled at him and then walked over. Ah. The classic sound of the beatles. Quite enjoyable. I was starting to wonder when we were going to sing the beatles. he said trying to break the tension.
