You know what was the worst part about being knocked up was? In front of the mood swings, the morning sickness, the hormones, the worst part was by far the cravings. It would be 2 in the morning, Quinn would wake up craving a watermelon. Or in the middle of school she would die for McDonalds which she hadn't had since she was a Freshman. Soon the cravings would blow over but this time she just couldn't. She was going to get this craving over with now. She needed Starbucks, no matter how fattening it was. Even though it was 11 pm, she didn't care. She was going to get whatever called her name.
Quinn got out of the bed that Finn's mom laid out in the basement. She said she trusted her but she just didn't want the two getting sick of each other and fight like she thought they would. She walked over to the mirror and looked at herself. She was a horrible mess. She was in old PJ pants she had back when she was fourteen, but amazingly she still fit in them. She didn't even she still owned them. She just shoved everything from her drawers and closet into her bags when she was kicked out. The longer Quinn stared at herself she wanted to cry even more. She sighed, that was all she had been doing since Finn said he was going to the movies with 'The Guys' which, due to the craziness that came with the pregnancy she thought meant 'Rachel'.
She sighed and walked over to her old Uggs. She slid them on and then grabbed a jacket next to her bed. She slid it on over her Hollister shirt. She wipped off the runny mascara and put her hair up in a high pony tail. She looked like a mess, but it wasn't like she was going to run into anyone at starbucks at 11 o clock. She walked out the backdoor in the basement and up to her car and drove off to starbucks.
The green sign was like a call from the heavens. She parked her car and walked into the store. The heavenly smell welcomed her like an old memory. She sighed and walked up to the counter. "Can I please have a Double Chocolate Chip Frap?" she asked softly with a fake smile on her face. The lady nodded and went off to make her drink. She stood there looking around the room akwardly. She paid for her drink before walking to a dark booth in the corner of the room. She took a long sip of her frap before sighing and throwing her head down on the desk thinking about how messed up she was.

Micah stared at the clock on the microwave from his bed. With only three rooms in the house, one had gone to his parents and the other two were shared by the younger siblings, this left Micah with the living room and the couch. There was nothing on t.v. and even if there was he would have to have it on low with subtitles on as the walls of the house weren't exactly thick. 11 pm. That was the time on the clock, it was still early in his mind and the young man wanted to pass time with his guitar, but that would wake them up too.
Finally fed up with boredom he grabbed the keys to his '65 Dodge Dart and went to the window. Raising it up he slid out, before putting it back down slowly. He was glad that the window wasn't loud, if he would have used the door, it would have woken someone up, that person usually being one of his younger brothers, Thomas. Getting into the car he started it up and held his breath to see if anyone would come out. No. That was good, they probably thought it was a neighbor.
He wasn't sure where he wanted to go, but when he then he saw a sign, literally. Pulling into the parking lot of the Starbucks he got out and started inside the seemingly empty place. "Can I get a white chocolate mocha" he told the barista before handing over the cash to pay for it. Taking his drink when it was ready he started to look around, when he noticed someone in a booth. Her head was down, but he believed he recognized her as Quinn Fabray. She was one of the Glee kids he played for, but being in Jazz band he'd never really talked to her.
Sipping his warm drink he slowly walked over, stopping beside the table "You okay?"

Sitting in the corner of Starbucks was one play Quinn Fabray NEVER sat. She always sat right next to the window where the sun shined in beautifully on here. But that was before everything happened. Before she became a Cheerio. Since sixth grade when she was finally allowed to go to Starbucks with her mothers permisson she would go to the one right down the street from her house. Every Friday with her old best friend Ciara, her mom would take the two to Starbucks. On every start of the month they would try something brand new. Everyday, the would sit in the same spot, scoping out boys. Secretly of course, Quinn's family would not allow that at Quinn's age. But, anyway it was a big tradition for the two best friends but once Ciara moved away and Quinn started being a Cheerio under Sue Sylvesters watch she was never allowed to have a sip of Starbucks ever again.
So the chocolate drink was such a heavenly reminder of what life was and could be. Though it kind of was like a big old roller coaster ride, each time the drink would help her climb up that big mountain. And then down she would go, her dreams falling with her. She snapped out of her thoughts as the boy started to talk. Guitar and Bass. Hmm. She smiled and nodded as she held her half empty drink. "Thats really cool. I can't play any instrument except my vocal chords and even that isn't as amazing as learning notes and playing something you, yourself came up with. I just think thats so amazing." she said in her pure voice smiling a real smile for once as she took another drink.
She nodded as the boy said his unique name. Silence filled as she had nothing reallly else to say. Quinn wasn't all to sure about saying it because she didn't want to mess up his name. She just sucked on her drink until he spoke up with a much simplier name. Z. "Hahaha. That works. Which do you perfered to be called? By the way I'm Quinn if you didn't know." she said smiling. Even though she was pretty postive anyone knew who she was from the past expirences of being on top. Though now, it was down to the bottom of the food chain, where you weren't the slushier you were the slushee.

Her answer hadn't surprised him really. He and the rest of the school knew she was pregnant, which probably was the cause of how she was doing lately. It must have been rough going from the captain of the Cheerios to the pregnant girl around school. When she motioned to the chair he set his drink down on the table before taking it.
Biting his lip he looked across at her as she inquired about his being in Glee, or playing for them. "Yeah I play for you guys. Guitar and bass, depends on the song" he nodded his head a little, adding on the last part after a short pause. His hand reached for his cup and he took another drink. Micah loved these things, and he hadn't tried another kind since discovering the white chocolate mocha two years ago. "Micah" he gave her his name, setting the white cup back down. The drink wouldn't last him very long and he was already planning on buying another one. "Though the guys in the band call me Z"
Z had always been a nickname of Micah's as most people had trouble pronouncing his last name, so they just wound up calling him Micah Z. Soon this evolved into just referring to him as Z, which didn't bother Micah at all, he actually kind of liked the letter nickname.

She was right about learning notes and playing something, it was amazing, but Micah had never really had to struggle like some others, so he really admired those who didn't have the gift of being able to play by ear and could play a note or two. "Well it's really not hard. I mean the complex stuff is, but there's some really simple notes, and on the piano sometimes all you have to do is hit one or two keys. Just think of the Jaws theme" he chuckled a little, remembering how that was the first thing he'd figured out to play as a child. Discovering those two notes on the end of the piano was like discovering the North Pole and Santa Claus.
The girl went quiet after his name, something he was used to, not many people had the name Micah any more and he'd even had people call him Meekah, rather than making the I a long sound. "Well at home I'm Micah, so since we aren't family you can call me Z" It was much easier to remember than the first name and definitely easier to remember the pronunciation. Good thing he hadn't told her his last name, that was always a difficult one for people to pronounce. Why did his father have to have the last name Zweiner? Why couldn't it have been like Jones or Harper? He was last in the alphabetical list at school and the majority of people didn't know the German rule of the W sounding like a V. "Yeah I know" he nodded with a smile as she introduced herself "But it's always nice hearing some one introduce his or herself to you, rather than constantly hearing the name from other people"

She laughed as he mentioned the jaws theme. She would admit somethings were easy to learn, I mean all through out her elementry school years in music class they always learned how to play songs. The same songs, ever year. So now she could play Mary Had A Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Row Row Row Your Boat in her sleep. Though that wasn't the same from looking at the notes and being able to immeditly play it. Her mother could do that with the Piano and it amazed her everytime she played any song in Church. "Well, maybe one day before Glee I can come a little early and you can teach me a few things." she said smiling.
She laughed at when he said she could call him Z. Alrighty Z. So tell me something about yourself other then you're in Jazz and you love music." she said as she took a drink of her coffee. She actually really enjoyed talking to Z. He took her mind off of everything and had actually made he laugh for real in possibly a series of three days. She loved laughing she just couldn't bring herself to laugh, even in Glee, which was really bad for her.
"But it's always nice hearing some one introduce his or herself to you, rather than constantly hearing the name from other people" Quinn was taken back about what Z had just said. That was by far the best reply she had ever gotten when she had introduced herself. She had gotten I knows, Yeahs, and a bunch of pick up lines but never something like that. It really made her sit and think. "Thats really true. I like that. Its really pretty how you put it too. she said still thinking about what he said. "I could do that, sure" he nodded his head a little. Already songs were going through his mind as to what he could teach her. Did he want to teach her easy ones with single keys involved, or easy ones with chords involved. Maybe he should start with singe first and then move onto chords if she wanted to continue after the first one. They could have lessons. That would be fun, Z liked teaching others how to play and hadn't done so since teaching Thomas how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star a few years ago.
About himself? Z always hated that question as he was never quite sure what 'about himself' to say to people. As he started to think about what to say he took another sip of his drink, maybe this would trigger something. "Well I'm one of six kids, I'm right in the middle at number three. When I'm not doing things with Jazz band and other music things, I like to fix up cars with my older brother." he stopped not quite sure what else to say "Wow my life sounds very boring" he laughed a little, thinking about just how boring it all did sound. In reality his life was anything but, being in a house like his insured this.
"My mom always told me I had a nice way with words" he smiled softly "I guess she's right"
Tapping his fingers on the table his head turned to look at the little glass area with the brownies and coffee cakes and other goodies behind it. It looked so good. "I'm gonna grab me one of those over there" he pointed to the display, still not sure what he'd get when he got there "Would you like anything?"

Quinn grinned at the thought of her learning how to play an instrument, she didn't care if it was the piano, bass guitar or anything realy. She was just excited. Then if she learned how to really write songs she could be a real musican. She had so many feelings wrapped up she felt like if she could learn how to write songs she would feel so much better. She had friends who wrote songs and they said it was such a relase. She responded saying so it was like a journal? They explained it as much more, you share your songs and everyone likes them and people realte to them its just a magical feeling. She wanted that feeling. She wanted to know that someone out there can relate to her, or at least know what she is going through. "Yay!! I'm excited!" she exclamied smiling.
Six kids? Dang. She had always wished to be alone, an only child. Though with six kids she could only imagine how Micah felt. Though this kid sounded like he liked his life, or some of it anyway. She laughed when he got around to say his life was boring. I'd rather have a boring life then one filled with drama. she said shrugging. But a perfect life would be better. she said laughing. Quinn wondered what a perfect life would be like. Everyone had their own defentetion of perfect, so hers would be having Finn as her boyfriend, being in Glee, captian of the cheerios and not being knocked up
She was for sure right. You're really good with words. You should take public speaking in college. she said smiling. Her sister use to always talk about what an amazing class Public Speaking was and how she was amazing at it. Though really what was her sister not amazing at. She rolled her eyes at her thoughts before looking over at the sweets as Z mentioned them. Hmm, that brownie was calling her name, but she shrugged. No thanks. Thank you though. she said smiling.

He smiled and let out a light laugh as she seemed to be rather excited about learning how to play an instrument. It was easy to teach someone simple songs on the piano, but if she wanted to learn a certain song he'd grab the guitar and teach her the chords, as he knew that many songs only involved a few chords. "Is there anything in particular you'd like to learn?"
"Well technically my life isn't boring, it just sort of sounds like I do" he laughed a little. When he described his time and life to people it didn't sound like much, but with five brothers and sisters, three of them still in the house, there really wasn't a boring moment. "Oh I don't know about public speaking" his head shook a little as he ran his fingers back through his hair. Speaking in front of people was something that Z really didn't care for. It wasn't that he couldn't do it, or got nervous, in fact he was actually rather good with it. Even when he couldn't remember what it was he was supposed to say, he could just go on with some bull and no one was usually the wiser.
"Okay" he slid his chair back to stand up, after she told him she didn't want anything "I'll be right back" he smiled before heading to the counter once again. After telling him what he wanted he paid for it and came back to the table, setting down two plates. One had a small brownie, and the other an apple coffee cake. "I know you said you didn't want anything, but I got you something just in case" he pulled the cake towards himself, starting to pick at it. Taking the piece he tore off he popped it into his mouth, it was good. Really good, and a smile spread across his face.
